Before the appointment: We will gather the information needed to make appropriate interpreter selections and provide them with preparation materials they need. In addition to the date, start & end time, and location of the appointment, we will need the following information:

Name of the Deaf client/patient and let us know if they have any specific interpreter requests

Age if they are a minor

Office and out-patient therapy sessions:

Please let us know if this is an individual session, a family session, or a group therapy

Family and group sessions typically require a team of 2 interpreters

Please let us know the type of therapy if this falls outside of a traditional therapy session
Example: Music therapy, acupuncture, art therapy, alcoholics anonymous, DV treatment program, etc
In-patient facilities:

Please let us know if there are items permitted or not permitted in the facility.

Additionally, let us know if they should keep them in their vehicle or if there are lockers available

Share the daily schedule with our office for the interpreters preparation
